I wanted to share with you all a few of my favorite design books that I think everyone should have. As you can see, they've had some use. I like to bookmark or flag pages that I want to come back to later on. It's always nice to have some resources when you're ready to get creative in your home. What books do you think are design must haves?
Here is what is in my reading room:
- Decorate: 1,000 Design Ideas for Every Room in Your Home
Holly Becker
- Decorate Workshop: Design and Style Your Space in 8 Creative Steps
Holly Becker
- Heather Ross Prints: 50+ Designs and 20 Projects to Get You Started
Heather Ross
- Downtown Chic: Designing Your Dream Home: From Wreck to Ravishing
Robert & Courtney Novogratz
- Design*Sponge at Home
Grace Bonney
- Domino: The Book of Decorating: A Room-by-Room Guide to Creating a Home That Makes You Happy
Domino Editors
- Jonathan Adler on Happy Chic Colors
Jonathan Adler
Which ones out of these do you have? I'd love to hear which ones are your favorites!
peace, love & haute chocolate,
R

Domino and Decorate! Total classics! I would add to your near perfect list: anything by Sibella Court. She's very unique and would add a sense of the unexpected to your collection!

I love the Domino book, haven't read any of the others though. Might have to check them out... On another note, in still depressed over the fact that Nate Berkus is no longer on tv :( You?
ReplyDeleteAlso wanted to say, I'm a fellow MN blogger! I get excited whenever I see someone else from MN, I feel like there aren't many of us.
Hi Bre! Yes, if you love Domino there's a good chance you'll love some of the others too! Although I don't watch much tv, that's sad that his show is done. He's got great style!
Delete..AND you're in Minnesota? Small world! I too get excited because I've only found a few other ladies that are here. =)
What a fabulous list! Though I don't own many design books I love looking through them a Barnes & Noble. It's the poor girl's way of staying chic without having to buy. I asked for Domino for Christmas, but I'm really interested in the Undecorate book, and anything by the Novogratz is bound to be fantastic. I love their style!
ReplyDeleteHey Bekuh! I hope you get both for Christmas! Domino is seriously a great resource that you'll have forever. I've heard many, many good things about Undecorate so can assume that'd be the same way. Lastly, Half Price Books sometimes has some good deals! http://www.hpb.com/ =) Merry Christmas to you!
