Have you hit the 30 year mark yet? Well, I haven't yet but it's coming sooner than I'd like to admit (approx. 1 year) and I have a running list of things I'd like to accomplish before the big day happens. I made a list a year ago and have crossed off a few things and some things have changed. I'm actually going to revamp my list and post it up here soon. Here are 15 things that I've jotted down that may or may not end up on my final list of 30 things. Somethings are personal and others are just things that I want to do. Do you have a list? Here are some of my ideas. I'd love to hear yours!! Or include a link to your post on the same topic.
- Ride a horse
- Take a 10+ day road trip
- Wear false eyelashes
- Get a professional photo taken
- Help someone in need
- Plant a garden
- Run a mile without stopping
- Get a 2nd tattoo
- Sing karaoke
- Start sewing
- Rent a beach house
- Take a yoga class
- A beach campfire
- Hair extensions
- Make a new friend

I love these! I should add 'make a new friend' to my list, I find the older you get the harder it is to make friends
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the truth?
DeleteI most definately should have a list. Maybe I should put it on my to do list. Oops.
ReplyDeleteTurning 30 is a milestone, but it's a good lesson in endurance and letting go of stigma so you can enjoy it. I sacrificed a lot in my 30th year (my bub was born 6 weeks before so really, it came and went in a blur.) I like lists though, and they give us purpose. New friends are good. I bought a sewing machine a month ago, my non-existent list involves 'sew a dress to fit me'
I love what you said about turning 30. I think letting go of stigma is exactly right. We're all on our own journey so it's our special path. I can imagine what you went through having your son born so early, how scary! If you get around to making a dress, I'd love to see it!! XO,R
DeleteI made a list for my 20th birthday! :) I kind of love all of these things. They could me on mine hehe. A few are similar though :) xo
ReplyDeleteAren't lists fun!? They say if you write it down you're more apt to do it. I'll be putting together my full list soon! :)
Delete"Wear false eyelashes." Haha, I'm with you. I tried once and am not as talented in the girly department as I'd like to admit.
ReplyDelete:) I feel like I used to be a lot more girly but after having a child I just haven't gotten the chance to have more than 20 minutes to get ready. Someday!
DeleteI am 31 and it is far more traumatic than 30 was! I loved 30, best year ever. I have gotten MUCH more girly with age, I was such a tomboy tough chic when I was younger. This next 30 years are all pink and girly, for sure. I think it's a great list! xo
ReplyDeleteThanks Colleen! I've went through the phase where I kind of quit caring about myself -- I'm ready for that to be done and to cross off some of these things.
DeleteI love this list...thanks for sharing..
ReplyDeleteI just turned 30 on Saturday...and I think it's really exciting!
I shared a little sneak peak into my plans for the next decade...

Happy belated birthday Ruth! I'll take a peak! I hope turning 30 is just as exciting for me! :)
DeleteStarting yoga was (is) on my 30 before 30 list. I am, unfortunately, running out of time rather quickly with only a few weeks until the big day. I certainly did not cross off many of the things I put on my list, so I won't even bother sharing the link. It would only remind me of all my unfinished business. Oh well!
ReplyDeleteMaybe I need to start a new one that will be 30 things to accomplish during my 30th year.
I think the fact that you have a list is good news. Many people don't and before they even remember it's gone and they are far too late. I LOVE the idea of doing those things your 30th year! When is your birthday my dear? Let's have an online party! :)
