Located 185 miles north of Minneapolis-St. Paul in the heart of the Chippewa National Forest is the lovely Grand Rapids, Minnesota. This town is the birthplace of the famed Judy Garland who was most known for her role in the movie
The Wizard of Oz. The large Norwegian paper producing business called Blandin Paper Company also calls Grand Rapids home. Although we didn't get a chance to visit them they do offer tours, you can find out more information
here. This town has all four seasons of weather and just as much to do year round. From antiquing, entertainment down to shopping and music - there is something to be had here.
